Art Education National Chapter Chair

BYU Art Education Student Elected as President

For several years now, the Belleau Family Art Education Endowment has enabled several students to attend the National Art Education Assocation convention, where BYU students have been invited to make presentations.

Thankfully, students from around the country took notice of BYU's prominent involvement in this conference and elected a BYU student as its' president.

(From the BYU News Webpage)

"A Brigham Young University senior in art education was elected president of the National Art Education Association Student Chapter at the NAEA national convention in Boston last month.

Bart Francis was elected by undergraduate and graduate students from across the country. He will serve for three years as president-elect, president and past-president of the national student chapter. He is currently the BYU chapter president.

His responsibilities include organization of convention programs for the student chapter, service as liaison between students and the NAEA board of directors, communications with student chapters in colleges and universities in the United States and Canada and representation of students in more than 600 art education programs across the country.

Francis and 13 other BYU art education students attended the convention in Boston with the support from the Corey Nathan Belleau Scholarship Fund and the Department of Visual Arts."
