BYU Wind Symphony Showcased at the 2006 CBDNA Conference in Reno, NV

• Collaborators: 50 BYU Wind Symphony members, 3 BYU faculty, and CBDNA Conference attendants.

• Purpose: To allow the Wind Symphony to travel and perform in Reno, NV.

The Brigham Young University Wind Symphony was one of only ten western college groups invited to attend and perform at the College Band Directors National Association Conference in March, 2006. They showcased pieces composed by several BYU faculty, including our own Dean Stephen Jones. Laurence Lowe, French horn player, was also able to perform his Horn Sonata No. 1 at this conference as part of the BYU presented concert. The concert was very well received.
