Yvette Arts is the Assistant to the Dean in External Relations for the College of Fine Arts and Communications. Prior to joining in the dean’s office, Yvette worked for 25 years in communications for both corporate and academic institutions. Yvette received a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in communications from Brigham Young University.
Yvette is interested in social innovation, creative experience, personal learning environments, photography, genealogy/family history and social media architecture. Yvette and her husband Michael are the parents of eight children.
Yvette’s responsibility is to bring the mission and programs of the college to the attention and engagement of its key audiences in the broadest and most effective ways possible. She also provides strategic counsel and advice to college and department leaders. She helps conceive, develop and implement the messaging and branding strategies for the college’s communication vehicles, and directs all other public relations functions of the college.
