What is better than a basketful of chocolate bunnies in the spring? Music, of course! This spring season, the School of Music has a show for everyone. Talented BYU students will perform the harp, Jazz and spiritually uplifting tunes. Stop searching for the golden egg because these musical extravaganzas are shimmering with talent.

School of Music

Songwriters Showcase
Date & Time: April 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Location: Choral Hall, Music Building
Price: Free admission

Come hear original compositions by BYU songwriting students! This eclectic showcase will be brimming with creativity and original tunes. Lucky audience members will surely be impressed by upcoming talent.

Flute Choir 
Date & Time: April 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Location: Recital Hall, Music Building
Price: Free admission

Prepare to be dazzled by the Flute Choir at BYU. The small ensemble of students plays alto flute, bass flute, C flute and piccolo. Classical masterpieces and new music will be performed.

BYU Women’s Chorus

Bassoon Studio Recital

BYU’s talented bassoon students take it away in this studio recital. The group will perform works by Weber, Bourdeau, Schickele, Boísmortíer and more.

University Orchestra and University Strings 
Date & Time: April 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Come celebrate music with University Orchestra and University Strings. From classical to contemporary, these ensembles will play it all. The performance is conducted by graduate students from BYU’s master’s program in conducting.

Jazz Combo Showcase
Date & Time: April 7 at 7:30 and 8:45 p.m.

The BYU jazz combos will perform a dazzling array of music including fusion, swing, funk, Latin and more. Come enjoy standard songs and be wowed by original student compositions.

BYU Symphonic Band: Sounds of Home

Celebrate Brazilian music with BYU Wind Symphony! Guest conductor Marcelo Jardim will be joining the show. This concert preludes the spring 2026 BYU Wind Symphony concert tour.

Journey from the Old World to the New with BYU Philharmonic. The program will feature Brahms’s “Tragic Overture,” Heitor Villa-Lobos’s “Choros No. 6” and Dvořák’s “Symphony No. 9, ‘From the New World.’” Guest conductor Marcelo Jardim will join the show.

University Bands in Concert
