This Season’s Star-Spangled Lineup Includes an Iconic Bluegrass Band, Celebrations of American Jazz Greats, an Annual Veterans Day Concert and Much More.
From bluegrass and jazz to Broadway and global performances, the 2026-27 BRAVO! season celebrates the sounds and stories that have shaped America while welcoming artists from across the globe.
“The 2026-27 BRAVO! season carries a special sense of celebration as we honor the nation’s semiquincentennial through uniquely American musical genres that have shaped our cultural landscape,” said Lyndsay Keith, producer of the BRAVO! Series. “We’re delighted to pair these traditions with performances by acclaimed artists from around the world, creating a season that is both distinctly American and globally inspired.”
The season opens Sept. 17 with Grammy-winning group Steep Canyon Rangers, whose blend of bluegrass tradition and contemporary songwriting has earned national acclaim.
During BYU Homecoming Week, jazz pianist Emmet Cohen will headline with “Miles and Coltrane at 100” on Oct. 9, honoring the centennial birthdays of jazz legends Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
The celebratory spirit continues Nov. 11 as the BYU Wind Symphony will present “For Heroes Proved,” an annual Veterans Day tribute concert featuring Broadway performer Laura Osnes. Local veterans and their families are offered free admission.
Families can also look forward to State Street Ballet’s production of “The Little Mermaid” on March 13, featuring fun, accessible ballet for the whole family.
Other notable performances include acclaimed photographer Stephen Wilkes presenting “America at 250,” a sweeping visual exploration of five decades of American life; performances by the Utah Symphony; a romantic Valentine’s dinner concert with Broadway vocalist Dez Duron; and a tribute to jazz giant Chick Corea performed by Grammy-winning artists Stanley Clarke and Hiromi.
International artistry takes the spotlight with world-renowned performers including French harpist Emmanuel Ceysson, actor Max McLean in a theatrical portrayal of C.S. Lewis, and a collaboration between five-time Grammy winning guitarist Mark Lettieri and sitar virtuoso Purbayan Chatterjee.
The season offers audiences a yearlong celebration of America’s artistic heritage alongside performances shaped by cultures and traditions from around the world. Patrons will find opportunities throughout the season to discover, celebrate and connect through the performing arts.
