Everyone can quote ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ but not everyone has experienced the story through the beauty of ballet. This February, come witness love, comedy and tragedy in the enchanting world of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ brought to life by BYU’s Theatre Ballet. In this 70-minute, family friendly production, Prokofiev’s stunning score is enhanced by original choreography and costuming that is sure to leave you breathless!

Artistic Director Brooke Storheim believes this production has pushed her students to express the complex emotions required for the beloved tragedy. “Throughout this process, they have explored what it means to embody first love, loyalty, conflict and loss,” said Storheim. “They have learned how dance can speak powerfully without words, how stillness can carry as much weight as virtuosity and how connection onstage emerges from trust, courage and generosity.”

Parting is such sweet sorrow, so come celebrate Valentine’s Day with the BYU Theatre Ballet as they perform one of the world’s most famous love stories.
