Noted children's pop-up book artist Robert Sabuda at BYU Sept. 26

The Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University will host a guest speaker Robert Sabuda, a leading children's pop-up book artist, in the Harold B. Lee Library auditorium on the first level Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

Sabuda will share how he designs his moveable books and how the books move through the creation process. A question-and-answer session will follow his remarks.

His interest in children's book illustration began with an internship at Dial Books for Young Readers while attending the Pratt Institute in New York. Initially working as a package designer, he illustrated his first children's book series, 'Bulky Board Books,' in 1987. He became widely recognized after he started designing pop-up books for children in 1994.
