Bradley Public Relations at BYU plans Nov. 30 openhouse

Bradley Public Relations, Brigham Young University’s student-run public relations firm, will host a reception highlighting students’ work for professional organizations Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Garden Court Terrace.

Students, professors, clients and the public are invited to see what the students have worked on this semester. Public relations professionals will judge each account for what they have accomplished. Following the reception and refreshments, a speaker from LDS Public Affairs will discuss public relations for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“Bradley allows students to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to benefit businesses in the real world. Bradley works for the students and the clients — they both come out on top,” said Anthony Strike, president of Bradley Public Relations.

The firm currently serves 15 clients, including Halestorm Entertainment, Fro-Yo and the American Red Cross.

Bradley Public Relations is BYU’s chapter firm of the Public Relations Student Society of America.

Bradley was established in 1986 to bridge the gap between students' educational experience and the working world. Account members write and pitch press releases, plan and execute events, and conduct research and focus groups. Bradley has been recognized locally and nationally as an outstanding public relations firm, winning the best chapter firm for PRSSA six times within the past 15 years.
