What's better than celebrating leprechauns in March? Celebrating music! Come enjoy musical talent sure to send you over the rainbow.

The luckiest thing about March? Plenty of musical extravaganzas are put on by BYU’s School of Music. The BYU School of Music has plenty of musical extravaganzas to attend. From jazz concerts to original student songwriting, this month’s lineup is sure to impress. These March performances, packed with talent, will bring you more luck than gold or four-leaf clovers.

School of Music

Global Rhythm: Panoramic Steel and Gamelan Bintang Wahyu Date & Time: March 10 at 7:30 p.m.

This musical performance will take you on a trip around the globe! This show will feature traditional and contemporary percussion from Bali, Trinidad and Tobago and beyond. The talented Kandid Taylor and Jeremy Grimshaw will conduct the show.

BYU Singers: Musica eclectica

Prepare to be electrified by Musica eclectica, a diverse mix of ancient and modern music. Don’t miss the BYU Singers’ final concert of the year before the award-winning chamber choir attends the 2026 Musica Sacra International Festival in Germany.

Over 1,200 high school and junior high students visit campus for the BYU Concert Band Festival. The two-day celebration will feature a concert performed by the BYU Wind Symphony and the Lone Peak High School Wind Ensemble.

Jazz Lab Band

Group for Computer Music in Concert

Experience digital innovation and artistic expression. The BYU Group for Computer Music will impress audiences with vibrant electronic music compositions.

Group for New Music: Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians  
Date & Time: March 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate the BYU premiere of Steve Reich’s Music for 18 Musicians! The Group for New Music and the Percussion Area will collaborate with BYU faculty, student instrumentalists and vocalists to perform the musical feat.

BYU Symphony Orchestra

Join us for a BYU Symphony Orchestra performance packed with time-tested classics and contemporary music. All are welcome to attend and enjoy the array of musical art.

Jazz Legacy Band

Come be dazzled by Chicago and New Orleans jazz. The performance will embrace the styles of pioneer jazz musicians Louis Armstrong and King Oliver. All ages will enjoy the stunning display of energy and improvisation.

Woodwind Chamber Night

Be wowed by chamber groups featuring wind quintets, flute trios and reed trios. Musical compositions performed will include classics and new works.
