RECONCILING FAITH AND SEXUALITY
This confidential psychotherapy group offered by BYU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is designed to provide a space for students who identify as LGBTQ+ or who experience same-sex attraction to openly discuss their sexuality and how it intersects with their faith. We strongly value agency and an individual’s right to self-determination. We also recognize the complexities that arise in trying to reconcile these two important aspects of identity. In this group, we encourage students to thoughtfully explore their identities, help support one another in their individual journeys, and work toward psychological health.
BYU COMMUNITY RESOURCES
USGA: Understanding Sexuality, Gender, and Allyship – A non-BYU sponsored group of BYU students, faculty, and guests who wish to enhance the BYU community by providing a safe space for open, respectful conversation on LGBTQ & SSA topics. They have weekly club meetings and other activities.
