A Quiet Whisper, Close to You is a painted exploration of the way lighting affects beauty and nature. Gwen Davis-Barrios presents a set of pieces that show a certain intimacy with her surroundings and a curiosity about the nature of harsh lights in peaceful settings
“Making this show has felt like a foray into the dark. In the past, I have known what I wanted to say much earlier on in the process, but this body of work has felt especially mysterious to me,” Davis-Barrios said. “I would like people to leave my exhibition with a desire to go on more walks at night.”
