Welcome to the BYU College of Fine Arts and Communications. The college consists of the following units: the Department of Art, School of Communications, Department of Design, Department of Dance, School of Music, Department of Theatre and Media Arts, and the Museum of Art.
Whether you are an artist, communicator, creator, educator, patron or scholar you will find excellence throughout the college. The awards and recognition are too numerous to list and can be found within the individual academic units. There is a vibrant community here of committed faculty and talented students.

COLLEGE MISSION
The College of Fine Arts and Communications’ mission is to teach the disciplines of art, communications, dance, design, music, and theatre and media arts; explore these disciplines’ application to various media; and expand their civilizing influence on the human spirit. The college’s activities are founded on spiritual values and each department strives for excellence and rigor in scholarship, performance, and creative activity. The college seeks a balance among these areas of endeavor that offers students a diverse education in preparation for professional contributions and a lifetime of service to humankind.
