Eric Gillett

Profile
Eric Gillett is an associate dean for the College of Fine Arts and Communications whose appointment was announced in June 2022. A full-time faculty member since 1998, Gillett served as the Chair of the Department of Design from 2014 to 2020, in addition to teaching classes as a professor. Gillett earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from BYU in 1991 and a Master of Fine Arts in design from the University of Utah.
He frequently works in publishing and branding and enjoys collaborating with students, faculty and other artists on projects both within and outside of BYU. Gillett’s work has also been featured in numerous national and international design publications, including Graphis, Forbes Magazine, Communication Arts, Print Magazine, How, Creative Quarterly, The One Show and the New York Art Directors Club.
