BYU Ballroom Dance Company, considered “America’s greatest treasure in the ballroom discipline” by Brian McDonald, is back at the BYU Marriott Center for their annual concert. This concert will feature 160 student dancers and the award-winning competition medleys of the BYU Ballroom Dance Touring Company.

Audiences of all ages can look forward to a diverse program featuring elegant traditional ballroom dances, vibrant Latin American rhythms and even a few lighthearted, comedic pieces. The concert will feature faculty-choreographed works as well as pieces created by world-class champions Andre and Natalie Paramonov, Alexander Chernositov and Arina Grishanina.

“BYU’s ballroom dance program is the largest collegiate ballroom dance program in the world and has become the leading hub for amateur ballroom dance in the United States,” said Curt Holman, director of the Ballroom Dance Program. “This dazzling production promises to entertain, inspire and leave you in awe.”

Students on the Ballroom Dance Company relish the opportunity to perform at the Marriott Center each year. Darby Jo Hart, a junior majoring in dance and a member of the ballroom touring company, said, “The Marriott Center transforms into an elegant theater filled with the energy of anticipation — it’s just magical to dance for thousands of people!”

Don’t miss the chance to see Ballroom Dance Company perform on campus before they embark on their upcoming tour of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
