The BYU BRAVO! Professional Performing Arts Series Will Open The 2024—25 Season with “Eric Liddell: The Chariot of Fire” Performed by Searchlight Theatre Company

To open the 2024—25 season
Based in the United Kingdom, Searchlight Theatre Company is dedicated to sharing life-changing stories that affirm beliefs and reinforce shared values. “This company and this story are a perfect fit for BRAVO! audiences and so relevant for our day,” said Lyndsay Keith
During the 2024 Paris Olympics, exactly 100 years after Eric Liddell’s story and in the same city, BYU’s own Track and Field program achieved great success. The university had 17 Olympic Trials entries (the most out of any NCAA Division I program) and qualified nine current or graduate athletes
This production will open an inspiring season for the BRAVO! Series, which will feature “artists who have been blessed with immense talents and have specifically been chosen for their prowess as well as their ability to complement BYU’s aim to share light and hope for the benefit of the world. The arts have an incredible potential to enrich and uplift,” said Keith.
With a BYU education, affordability and excellence go hand in hand. The same is true of the BRAVO! Series which offers an incredible value for community members on and off campus. This season marks the debut of a new 2 for $20 student deal for all BRAVO! performances. “This assists BYU’s student focus by enabling students all across campus to engage with the arts in ways that are meaningful both individually and socially,” said Keith.
