Troy Streeter is the Director of Marketing and Production for the College of Fine Arts and Communications. He also serves as the Audio Manager for CFAC performance venues and the Technical Director for the Young Ambassadors. With additional experience working in BYU’s Office of Information Technology and BYU Performing Arts Management, Streeter has served as Artist Manager for several performing ensembles; acted as Technical Director and toured around the world with various BYU groups; designed or codesigned sound systems for major BYU venues; and designed and mixed sound for many high-profile shows. As adjunct faculty for the Department of Theatre and Media Arts, he created two new BYU courses: Sound Design and Sound Reinforcement.
Many of Streeter’s former student employees have gone to the best graduate schools for sound design and technology. Those and other former students are making an impact for good in Utah and around the country as they work for theatres, consulting firms, manufacturers, professional sound companies, universities, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“The thing that brings me the most satisfaction is helping people succeed. I’m blessed to be in a position where I get to contribute to the success of student performers, student technicians, staff, and administrative employees on a daily basis by applying the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” said Streeter.
Streeter received a BA in Theatre Arts Studies with a minor in Electronics Engineering Technology in 2005, and an MBA from BYU in 2016. He and his wife, Rachel, have five amazing children and two beautiful granddaughters. He loves to spend time with family, hike, bike, work on home projects, and read.
