"Evening of Concertos” with student soloists, BYU Symphony March 30

Student soloists from Brigham Young University's School of Music will join the BYU Symphony Orchestra in an 'Evening of Concertos' Wednesday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets are $6 for all seats and can be purchased at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, arts.byu.edu or by calling (801) 422-4322.

The evening will feature music by Liszt, Saint- SaÁ«ns, Mozart, Rachmaninoff and others.

This recital will showcase the junior, sophomore and freshmen winners of the annual BYU Concerto Competition. Senior winners performed with the BYU Philharmonic in a previous concert.

The 14 student soloists include Forrest Howell, Lucy Williams and Jonathan Keith, piano; Caitlin Mckay and Andrew Thomson, violin; Jakob Grimmius, horn; Ryan Foley, flute; Bryan Lew, viola; Tyrell Wilde, baritone; Maia Bruce, cello; Trevor Giles, saxophone; Brian Woodburry, trombone; Amanda Moreton, bassoon; and Mason Neipp, tenor.
