Mark Magleby assumed his role as museum director at the Brigham Young University Museum of Art on January 1, 2012, having previously served as a member of the art history faculty (since 1997).
Magleby specializes in 18th-century art and architecture, 20th-century European art, and contemporary theory and criticism. His scholarship has focused on the influential gardens of Stourhead in England, as well as the creation of a database of English garden history. He co-authored with Leslie Norris Kershisnik: Painting from Life.
