Shiyeon Sung will conduct the Utah Symphony as they perform an autumn concert together

“We are delighted to welcome the Utah Symphony
The performance will be unique as South Korea’s own will be on the podium. Benton said, “This concert is particularly exciting for us as this concert will be conducted by Shiyeon Sung
Sung is known for the impact she’s had in her occupation. She is the first female conductor of South Korea to lead orchestras that are internationally renowned. She won the Gustav Mahler Conductors’ Competition
Benton continued, “She is a trailblazer of the profession and it is an honor to have her and the Utah Symphony on our campus.”
This performance will take place on Thursday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. It will be located in the de Jong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center.
