Retiring Dance Professor Receives Top Cultural Award in China

BYU Department of Dance professor Jiamin Huang recently received the Light of China Award in recognition for contributions she made in enhancing friendship and cultural awareness between China and the United States. This prestigious award is known to be the greatest honor the nation could give to one of its citizens living outside the country. In the past, this award has gone to actor and film star Jackie Chan, basketball player and world ambassador Yao Ming, and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Mo Yan.
