The Playground Show | Open through April 12, 2024
Curated by Anne Flynn, “The Playground Show” contains scattered art installations across West Central Campus. This “scavenger hunt” art show will showcase the work of artists Meg Bates Lignell, Dana Lovell, Payden Mouritsen and Cidney Winterton. Amidst a backdrop of odd and abandoned spaces, this exhibition invites visitors to wander. Participants are beckoned to explore the passage of time and the layering of memories as they move through five installation spaces. Immersed in sight, sound and smell that evoke nostalgic memories, each space becomes a portal to reminisce.

To participate in the hunt, guests can use guide booklets stationed at the main entrances of the building, collect stamps associated with each art piece and then complete an activity at the old playground. Participants who complete all the tasks will be entered into a raffle to win a prize. There will be three raffle drawings over the span of the show.

The Department of Art welcomes visitors to the opening reception of the Annual Student Exhibition on April 5 from 7:00–8:30 p.m. This exhibition was organized and installed by the Gallery Management class and features student work from across the department.
