DVA Student’s Project on Display in the Library

A final project of Sarah Hill, a student in the Department of Visual Arts, is on display in the Harold B. Lee Library (HBLL) through June 27. Her photographs depict the commitment, love and difficulties of mothers in Africa.

Members of the Art in the Library Committee vote on artwork they feel should be in one of the four art galleries that feature artwork from professionals and BYU students. Roger Layton, the library’s communications manager, said Hill’s photos of African mothers are beautiful.

“People love it. The pictures are powerful, and they’re catching people’s attention,” Layton said. “I’ve heard nothing but good things about the exhibit.”

Hill’s exhibit, called mawe, can be found in the Auditorium Gallery on the first floor of the library. To learn more about her project, click here.
