Enjoy Performances From BYU Choirs This Apr 15 to Apr 19
Song is considered one of the most beautiful demonstrations of art. Powerful instrumentation and lyrics can touch the soul. Performers from the School of Music aim to entertain, uplift and inspire their audiences. Local residents have the opportunity to attend several free choral performances throughout April.
BYU’s Women’s Chorus will perform Lights and Love on Saturday, Apr. 15 at 7:30 pm at the Salt Lake Tabernacle at Temple Square. Under the direction of Sonja Poulter, this performance will feature music from the Renaissance to the modern day. The program will be divided into four sections; “Safe Places,” “A Mother’s Love,” “Light” and “Love.”
There will be two separate choir performances at BYU’s Museum of Art; BYU’s Concert Choir and the BYU Singers. BYU Singers will perform their Bon Voyage concert on Tuesday, Apr. 18 at 5 pm. BYU’s Concert Choirwill perform on Wednesday, Apr. 19 at 2 pm. Both concerts will take place in the main entrance hall underneath the MOA’s Plexus No. 29 exhibition.
Each performance offered throughout April will be free admission and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
