The BRAVO! Professional Performing Arts Series invites the unique, family-friendly physical theatre show “A Bee Story” to BYU campus. The show combines acrobatics, dance, juggling and live music to share the tale of Queen Bee and Worker Bee who must work together to rebuild their hive. “A Bee Story” explores themes of friendship, sustainability and teamwork.
Produced by the Australian company Arc Circus, the show is directed by performer, co-founder and artistic director Robbie Curtis and was co-created by performer and co-founder Lizzie McRae. Arc Circus is a “multifaceted international performing arts company” that considers themselves “a kaleidoscope of circus, dance and theatre.” The on-campus performance is part of the U.S. premiere tour of “A Bee Story.”
“I saw this charming show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023 and was so impressed by the incredibly high quality of every aspect of the show, from the costumes and props to the choreography to the promotional photos,” said BRAVO! Series producer and presenter Lyndsay Keith. “The show itself is so fun, the story is easy to follow, and the performers’ stunts are so impressive. I’m thrilled to present them as part of the U.S. premiere tour of ‘A Bee Story!’”
