FACES AND SPACES | DAVID HABBEN

David Habben is overseeing the work for this exhibit done by students in the illustration department. “For this exhibit, the students have been asked to create illustrated portraits of well-known individuals and also to provide a visual representation of a self-selected poem,” said Habben.

Habben emphasized that the aims of these assignments is to “utilize symbolism, color theory, and composition to create greater levels of communication and understanding in their work.”

Both the students and Habben hope that viewers find a greater understanding of both the people and the words represented in the exhibit, whether that be objectively or subjectively.
