The College of Fine Arts and Communication’s 2017-18 Faith and Works Lecture series will start on Nov. 2 with a presentation by Department of Art professor Collin Bradford. The lecture series focuses on professors’ conflicts and successes using faith within their disciplines and the experiences that ensue. Bradford received an MFA from the University of Illinois in 2008 and started teaching at BYU in 2016 after teaching at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. Bradford currently coordinates the Department of Art’s BA program. His classes focus on contemporary art, which helps students work with new genres and create interdisciplinary artistic avenues. Some of the recent exhibitions and events that have featured Bradford’s work include FUTURE TALK at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, 2016 Art Video International and Cinesonika 5 International Festival and Conference of Innovative Sound Design. A summary of his lecture can be found here on the CFAC website.
