If I could give my freshman-year self one piece of advice, I would tell her that the ups and downs have a purpose. You may not understand why things happen, but they will shape you into the person you are meant to be.
Life doesn’t always go as planned, but I know God is in the details of our lives. He has a plan that is far greater than what we can imagine for ourselves. I was guided to a major where my strengths were represented.
The public relations program gave me lifelong friends and experiences I am forever grateful for. I had the opportunity to work on PR campaigns, compete in a national competition, enroll in an internship, increase my media skills and connect with PR professionals.
It’s hard to express my gratitude for how much BYU has given me. It’s bittersweet to leave this campus that I love so much, but I know BYU has prepared me to conquer the next stage of my life. Thank you, BYU!
