What was once a hotspot for both agriculture and industry alike is now simply an alternate route or frontage road to Interstate 15. Geneva road has become a liminal space between the collapse of the steel industry, the reduction of agriculture and rise of suburban development.
“We are illuminating Geneva Road as an invisible line between worlds where the ruins of industry and the mountains of slag are juxtaposed with the cranes of condominium construction; a place where junkyards and storage units face soccer fields and townhomes. We have collected artifacts of industry and suburbia from the side of the road and presented them together here as a curious portrait of an invisible road between worlds.”
