HANNAH SODERBORG

Hannah Soderborg breaks down everyday objects and everyday occurrences into simpler, more intriguing components. She works with provisional materials like cardboard, foam, and found objects that counteract the reverence with which art is often treated.

The pieces in this exhibit are playful, yet melancholy. By breaking down large concepts into scribbles and by using recognizable objects in new ways, Soderborg expresses the feeling of being ill-suited to this reality and suggests a more interesting alternative.
