Why do you create/participate in music?

I create and participate in music to connect with people all over the world and to share my passion for some of humankind’s greatest creations.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by my mentors at BYU and everyone in my life that has pushed me to reach my fullest potential.

How have you found belonging during your time at BYU?

I’ve found belonging at BYU in the School of Music by collaborating with all of the talented musicians around me.

What’s your go-to study snack?

My go-to study snack is a pizza bagel from the HFAC vending machines.

What was your favorite project you worked on as a student?

One of my favorite projects I worked on as a student has to be learning about and performing Mahler’s 9th symphony with the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Who is your favorite artist?

My favorite artist right now is probably Hilary Hahn. I admire the dedicated and detailed practice that she puts into her art, which she also shares as a valuable resource with musicians everywhere via social media.
