Rebecca Packard has written more than 400 articles as critic and reporter, freelancer and staff. Her music criticism for the Tri-City Herald won her a fellowship to the NEA Arts Journalism Institute for Classical Music and Opera in 2005. The next year she became a staff reporter for Times/Review Newsgroup in New York. She was publisher/editor of the Provo Orem Word, a literary e-zine celebrating the arts in Utah from 2010-2013. She has a BA in music with vocal performance emphasis and BA in English from BYU, an MFA in creative writing from Antioch University, and an MAT in education from Westminster College (now University). Her visual art appeared in juried student shows at Westminster.
