BYU Symphony Orchestra: Symphony Orchestra Concerto Night
On March 8, the BYU Symphony Orchestra presents its Concerto Night, which will feature seven student soloists who won the annual concerto competition for first- and second-year students.
“These soloists represent our finest up-and-coming music majors in the BYU School of Music,” said Symphony Orchestra director Christian Smith. “It is always a pleasure for the orchestra to collaborate with such gifted musicians.”
The program will include works by Prokofiev, Schumann, Jacob, Larsson, Hindemith, Bellini and Liszt.

BYU Philharmonic: Evening of Concertos
The BYU Philharmonic will present its annual Evening of Concertos on March 9, featuring the winners of the annual concerto competition for the School of Music uppclassmen and graduate students as soloists.
“These students represent the best players this year in the School of Music,” said Philharmonic director Kory Katseanes. “Hearing them play each year is jaw-dropping and thrilling.”
