Four New Releases from BYU Music and Performing Arts Groups This Summer

This summer, BYU students were busy practicing, rehearsing and recording new music that inspires viewers around the globe. BYU Singers, BYU Men’s Chorus and BYU Young Ambassadors released a total of four new singles and music videos sure to bring a smile to your face.

BYU Men’s Chorus with Conductor Brent Wells

BYU Men’s Chorus performed “Welcome Home” during a campus devotional featuring Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Conductor Brent Wells arranged this beautiful rendition of the new sacred song from Hymns—For Home and Church by Andrea Christensen Brett. Singers expressed their heartfelt faith and feelings of safety in the Savior’s love as they sang the lyrics “you’re always welcome, welcome home.” The warming music video was filmed and aired by BYUtv as part of the devotional.

June 27 | “Summer”: III. Presto | BYU Singers New Single and Music Video

BYU Singers released a stunning music video of Presto from Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315 “Summer” in celebration of its original publication 300 years ago in 1725. Presto is the electrifying finale of Vivaldi’s “Summer,” known for its racing strings, rapid tempo and sudden bursts of intensity. The striking music video complements the historic piece with stunning shots filmed throughout Italy — the composer’s birthplace — bringing Vivaldi's story and legacy to life.

July 11 | "Every Child Has Known God" | BYU Singers New Single and Music Video 

BYU Singers with Conductor Andrew Crane

BYU Singers also released “Every Child Has Known God,” a stirring arrangement with music by Ivo Antognini and text by the poet Hafiz. The piece features pianist Avery Gunnell and carries a meditative, psalm-like feeling to musicians and audience members alike.

July 25 | "See the Light" | BYU Young Ambassadors New Single and Music Video 

BYU Young Ambassadors

The BYU Young Ambassadors released a cover of Stephen Sanchez’s feel-good hit, “See the Light” that brought sunshine, soul and contagious joy to fans around the world. The Young Ambassadors recently toured in Brazil where director and producer Nathan Balser shot the new music video alongside the film crew. The track features Curtis Allen on cajón and Carlie McCleary on guitar, creating a sound that blends beautifully with the group’s signature harmonies. These performers radiate positivity — a perfect showcase of the Young Ambassadors’ ability to spread joy through music wherever they go.
