The Archer House | Sara Anderson
In a multimedia exhibit featuring photography and textiles, photography student Sara Anderson explores the sense of belonging and discovery that comes from diving into one’s heritage.
“This project pays homage to the childhood home of my maternal grandmother,” said Anderson. “Built by her father, the house served as a backdrop for lessons about work, faith, life and love. Despite the passage of time and seasons, the home still carries the quiet memories which shape my family history.”
In a play on light and perspective, Anderson draws the audience into her personal family history and invites them to lovingly consider their own.
