BYU Theatre’s Young Company invites audiences to experience “My Robot,” a heartwarming story about courage, creativity and connection. The 50-minute play follows Ophelia, a young inventor struggling to adjust to her new home by the ocean. Feeling lonely, she builds a robot named Olivetti and together, with help from the audience, they embark on a journey to face both the stormy sea and Ophelia’s inner fears.

Abigail Johnson, a BYU student in the production, says this production is “engaging for families and audiences of all ages.” She hopes audiences will understand that “all people have a special role” after watching this production.

Designed for children and families, the production features dynamic actors who rotate roles each performance and engage audiences through interactive sound effects and participation. “My Robot” will tour elementary and middle schools across Utah during fall semester 2025 and will also perform in BYU’s Studio Theatre at West Campus.
