Building Beats and Belonging through Music | Arts & Comms: Behind the Stories Season 3

Professors in the School of Music strive to help students understand the business side of the music industry so that they can find success after graduation. Paige Darrington’s original musical for children, “Animal Kingdom,” focuses on belonging. Directors and educators have already begun to reach out to her about purchasing her musicals so they can be taught in children’s camps around the US.

Paige Darrington

Paige Darrington graduated BYU in 2023, majoring in commercial music with a minor in communications. She has a passion for music and business. Her post-grad plans include putting on summer camps and school programs based on her original musicals and continuing to run her business, Sing and Play Productions.

Aaron Merrill

Aaron Merrill is an award-winning composer, music producer and sound engineer whose work has been recognized both nationally and internationally. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and the Acoustical Society of America.
