The College of Fine Arts & Communications Announces #ExperienceCFAC 2022 Creative Works Contest Winners
CFAC Students are Being Recognized for
Their Experiential Learning Experiences
Six students from the College of Fine Arts and Communications (CFAC) won cash prizes for sharing their stories of experiential learning from internships, study abroad programs and more. These students took President Kevin J Worthen's call for experiential learning to heart, sharing experiences that ranged from capturing moments with watercolor in Ecuador to writing and directing children's musicals in Washington.
These winning essays and visual media submissions were entries in the College's annual #ExperienceCFAC Creative Works Contest, which aims to highlight experiential learning that took place during the academic year.

Contest entries were reviewed by a council consisting of representatives from each academic area in the college. The council evaluated how each entry exemplified the benefits of experiential learning, engaged the reader or viewer and represented BYU’s mission of “enter to learn, go forth to serve.”
Although the contest for this year has concluded, students can continue to share experiential learning opportunities using the hashtag #ExperienceCFAC on social media channels or submitting a story on the college’s website.
